COVID-19 Update from Castaway Marina
Dear Castaway Family:
We wanted to give you an update on the impact the COVID-19 Virus has had on our marina. Most importantly, our family, including all employees, remain healthy at this time. We feel we made the right decision to close the business and do our part to protect our employees and families three weeks ago.
Shortly after we closed, the governor mandated that all non-essential businesses reduce workforce by 100%. On Monday, the governor extended the mandatory shut down period to 4/29. This means we won’t be able to start launching until early May at best. We truly hope this date is not extended but we have to comply with government mandates and of course, everyone’s health and safety is paramount.
Please know that we are as anxious as you are to get boats in the water but the severity of this pandemic (and resulting mandates) has left us powerless to do so. We will do the best we possibly can to get everyone’s boat ready as soon as we are able. This will of course require patience and flexibility by boat owners for which we thank you ahead of time.
If you haven’t already done so, please visit our website and complete the summerization sheet available at www.castawaymarina.com/service-repair-boats-dealership--service. We will not be able to send out sheets by mail (except by special request) since we do not have the staff to do so. Please help us in our efforts to go paperless by retrieving your sheet electronically and returning. You can also email us at shop@castawaymarina.com to request that the sheet be emailed.
We hope you and your families are staying healthy and are able to avoid the grips of this pandemic. At the end of the day, nothing else matters except getting through this with our family, employees, customers and friends in good health.
We truly value your loyalty and friendship. Be assured that we will do our best to get through this difficult time. Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
Sincerely,
Thalia & Lonny
